VPN by Private Internet Access App Reviews

Over past few days with updates Ive had less problems with the app. However, originally whenever my phone went idle and locked it would log off. When I would go to use another app after that, the VPN would not always reconnect. So then I couldnt use any data - wouldnt receive texts, calls, etc. I debated about turning it off altogether. But I am giving it a new try with recent updates. Ive already paid for the year but I dont think I would buy it again.

Fast when its connected, but frequently drops out and needs to re-connect, which is very annoying. Inexpensive compared to others. You get what you pay for.

Works as described. Fast connections for the most part. If youre in need of a VPN service I would recommend this one.

Does everything I need from a VPN and doesnt log anything. I use it on every device for a nominal fee. Never had issues with speed.

Most of the time its stuck connecting or resolving the connection. Ive had multiple conversations with support -- who are all incredibly responsive and nice, but ultimately supporting an app that fails to actually deliver.

This update works brilliantly for me. Make sure that Connect on Demand is turned off in General > VPN > PIA and you will have no problems with disconnecting.

So the app stopped working and I opened a trouble ticket. They had me install OpenVPN to test and see if it worked through that app. It did. They closed the ticket?!?! Fix your own app or get rid of it.

I have used PIA for at least 2-3 years, and it is a great product with excellent support staff. I have recommended it to several individuals.

I love my PIA VPN service. It does exactly what its supposed to do, route all your Internet traffic through remote locations, encrypted and safe. I feel safer knowing that when I have my VPN turned on, all of my activities are shielded from prying eyes. I use public WIFI often and with PIA you could rest assured no one will be grabbing your log in information or private conversations. You cant beat the price and in todays world we need all the protection we could get. If you are on the fence about purchasing a VPN service, you have just found the most affordable and user friendly program out there.

The app does exactly what it is promising to do.i am not facing any issue to connect or disconnect. The only thing is that the email id keep disappear each time you put it.

The app only works for 15 to 20 minutes then you have to turn it off/on or change servers. Very bad app. Im on latest ios ipad pro.

Its the best VPN do to no logs and great availability of servers. Add the coolest part is I emailed requesting the add 3D Touch support and they did!!!!

I love that Im protected with this app, but its not perfect. It often loses connection and you have to disconnect/reconnect it manually for it to work again. Also, it does struggle with bandwidth a few times a day as well. Though its not a deal breaker, it is a pain.

The app works very well about 90-95% of the time but there are instances where it will not connect anywhere. If that glitch is worked out, it would be perfect. The primary reason I use the app is for traveling abroad. I worry about the future using it to access Netflix or other services.

I added PIA to the VPN settings on several iOS manually and used it that for over a year before discovering this app. While I would constantly lose my VPN connection when the phone went to sleep with the manual setup, with this app, VPN reconnects even after a restart. I can easily select a region and I dont have to make a bunch of individual entries. I cant recommend this app more.

I was very satisfied with the performance and functionality of the product but the most current client leaves much to be desired. Continually disconnects and is difficult to change connection to a different server. Throughput also is diminished. Hopefully an experienced developer can restore the previous level of functionality before my subscription is ready for renewal.

Super easy, quick and does everything I need

Works great and is a great value. Have to turn it off and on occasionally and change areas it says in connecting from sometimes but overall very satisfied

Does not connect reliably. Waste of my time and money.
